Gulab

Gulab
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose / By Any Other Name would smell as sweet.” This quote by William Shakespeare from Romeo and Juliet is well known.
In India, legend has it that the Gods once had an argument about which was the most beautiful flower- Brahma ji favoured the lotus, and Vishnu ji, the rose. Eventually the rose was considered the winner. Irrespective, these stories owe their origin to the fact that the Himalayas have about 15 different rose species, some of them celebrated and mentioned in Ayurvedic texts for their great healing qualities.
Gulab, is a happy collection of a bold rose hand-block prints mixed with a ditsy floral jaal. Offset with bold stripes and subtle detailing, these lovely cotton kurtas and dresses are ideal for daily-wear.
